Sandwell Fireworks Show 2011

It's a bit late to be posting this, but considering the fact I'm still awake I thought I would put these out. The two videos below were recorded by myself at the 2011 Sandwell 'All Fired Up' Fireworks spectacular which happened on November 5th, 2011.

The first video we see the Junior display, just a taster of what's to come later in the night.

The second video we see the Main display, this is where the organisers, Sandwell Council go all out and bring you a spectacular Fireworks display set to music. This year's theme was based around Fire.

I also took some photos at the event, which can be seen on the Photography section, or simply by Clicking Here. My thanks go out to Sandwell Council for organising yet another fantastic event, and here's to next year's event.

Sandwell Community Show 2011

The last bank holiday of August is the Sandwell Community Show, and I went along to see what was happening this year. Finally the audio providers had changed back to Beacon Radio after a few years of Smooth Radio. Beacon bought down their stage lorry and provided entertainment and competitions for the whole time I was there, unsure of the presenter but he was very funny.

The fairground this year was alright, I won't say brilliant because there wasn't many changes. As you can see from the post image, we'd received the one ride I was dieing to see this year, Over The Top. More photos can be seen in the Gallery and also an off-ride HD video of Over The Top on my YouTube account.

If you're in the area, I seriously recommend going down, it's on Tomorrow (Monday 29th August) then it ends for another year.

Sandwell Historic Vehicle Show

This Sunday 8th May sees the annual Sandwell Historic Vehicle Show, which takes place on a yearly basis on the Sandwell Valley Showground, organised by Sandwell Council and vehicle/classic car clubs from around the country.

Last year's event was a huge success seeing even more exhibitions than ever, and this year will see over 500 vehicles attending, from a 1920's Triumph Motorcycle to cars from the 60's/70's. With the event being Free Entry and just £3 to park your own car near to the event, you really can't beat it for a Sunday's day out.

The Fair's in Town

My local Fun Fair (Carnival) is in town, looking very well presented as normal, I thought I'd share an image from my pre-opening visit on Thursday.

For more photos throughout the fair's stay, check out the Flickr album.
