Google+

Google recently released a limited beta of what has to be the best implementation of a Social Network in a long time, known as Google+ and runs throughout the Google framework. I have to admit that after about a week or so of use it's definitely a brilliant alternative. What I like about Google+ is the fact its linked right into your Google Account, your Picasa Web Albums and also has some pretty unique features such as Hangout, Circles & Sparks. So what are those features?
Hangouts - It's like a cross of Skype and Chat, kind of what Facebook have recently released. Hangouts allows you to have an audio & video conversation with up to ten people. That I find stunning, having a much higher advantage of use over Skype and Facebook's direct one-to-one implementation of in-browser video chat.
Sparks - Sparks is like the good old RSS we all know and hate. It allows you to get a constant feed of things you're into and allows you to share them with friends in your Circles. I use it for some snippets of news and such, it's quite good but not as good as the good old RSS.
Circles - Now this is the selling point of Google+. Circles allows you to place people in different "Circles", allowing you to make sharing between different groups of people truly seamless. There are unlimited possibilities with the Circles system, and something which definitely makes Google+ stand out.
So what do I think of Google+? I love it. Obviously it won't replace Facebook just yet but I'm definitely using it more than Facebook right now
