Skills and 8bit Posters

The above image (its a transparent background you see) is my new ID on deviantART, a website for artist and photographers alike. I've been a member for a few months, but used the site on & off for years. Those skills on the above image pretty much show what I can do, and some things I didn't list on there aren't as important. I guess the main ones on there are the Gui Designer & Web/Mobile Developer ones, two things I'm finding very annoying right now.

So I'm trying to plan out an application for Windows Phone 7, not going to reveal anything but it's a royal pain in the ass. There's something about the Metro UI Windows Phone uses that's annoying me, I guess I'm not doing it right. The same goes for iOS, I'm helping a friend out with this idea he has, and designing some drafts for the UI for his application, well lets say they're not going well. I don't know if its me being too picky, or him being too picky, but none of our ideas match, they clash with previous ones and it all ends up in us 2 starting over, even if it is the 7th time already.

Anyway, why does it say 8bit Posters in the title? Pretty simple, I'm going to attempt an 8bit poster. Mainly editing it in blocks of 8 pixels, we're talking a 60x30 poster here, not an easy file to edit in all means on a 1920x1080 screen. What will it be of? I've been toying with the idea of an old poster from Series 5 of Doctor Who, it has a Dalek on it from the episode with Winston Churchill in, with the words "To Victory!" above it. I'd love that in 8bit but my god its difficult to do it from scratch.

Just a bit of a mini post here, I'll keep updating with the progress of my app idea soon and also the poster.
