My name's Adam Parton, I'm a 20 year old Photographer based in the United Kingdom. I have a huge following for gaming and music, but also enjoy the odd movie and TV show.
I'm a big Football fan, following my local team West Bromwich Albion, but I also follow other sports such as NFL, Tennis, Darts & Snooker. My favourite sporting event each year has to be the Superbowl, just seeing how huge the event is really does shock me.
I'm a nature/still life/action Photographer, taking photos of moving objects, still life and nature mostly. I mainly started at around 2004 when I used to pop to my local funfair and take random photos of the rides. I got into Photography more seriously around 2008 when I got my first DSLR and my photos improved dramatically.
The above image is from my collection, which has been edited in Adobe Photoshop CS5. The photo is of the 100+ year old Hiram Maxim Flying Machines which are based at Pleasure Beach Resort, Blackpool, UK. I don't normally edit photos but every now & then if I'm looking for a nice photo to go on my wall as a print, I'd shove an image into Photoshop and see what I can come up with. Sometimes they work, like the one above, and sometimes they don't...
Other things about me, I'm a fan of lighting, from novelty to studio and stage lighting. I also enjoy the quirky sides of games, such as the Addict-a-Ball from Firebox.com or the classic retro Rubix Cube. I'm a keen Windows Phone 7 fan, since I purchased my HTC 7 Trophy I've not turned back. I really cannot fault the OS and overall impressed beyond expectation on how it runs and how efficient it is.
Equipment & The Technology
I use quite a bit of equopment to produce the content for this website, and to do my day-to-day browsing around the web. Primarily I use a Late 2011 13" MacBook Pro, which has turned into my editing powerhouse. Software wise on this I use Final Cut Pro, Aperture, Photoshop and the trusty Google Chrome for my browsing activity. For Photography/Videography I use a Sony Nex-5 Compact Systems Camera, alongside this I use an iPhone 4S, which was 4 years in the waiting.
I have used a Mac since 2009 and previous to that I had a trusty Asus laptop which ran Windows Vista and then Windows 7 before I made the switch.
About the Website
This website is being run on the Squarespace framework. Founded in 2004, Squarespace was founded and created in a University dorm in Maryland. Its hard to think how something created in spare time has become as big and as powerful as what Squarespace is, it's kind of the same way Facebook was created, just without the pathetic film about it.
I started running this site on the Squarespace framework in July 2010, with the domain created in 2008. I used to run the site on the WordPress framework hosted at the renowned HostGator web host, then after some time I took the decision to spend the more money and move to Squarespace. Since then the site has been through 2 different designs before I hit my personal favourite, the one you see today. The header will change every now & again to reflect the seasons, but apart from that don't expect too many changes.
